A nonprofit has acquired a nearly 11,000-square-foot building in Hawthorne, with plans to use the mixed-use property as its new headquarters and fourth location.
Brokers with NAI James E. Hanson represented the Van Beuzekom family in its sale of 297-301 Lafayette Ave., which includes 7,381 square feet of office space and two mezzanine apartments. The buyer, Lighthouse Pregnancy Resource Center, is using the space to expand beyond its existing sites in Hackensack, Wayne and Paterson, which serve women, men and teens.
NAI Hanson’s Andrew Somple and Justin Allessio completed the assignment.
“For a broker, it is always rewarding when we are able to negotiate a deal that not just benefits our client but also provides a home for a valuable community contributor to ensure their continued growth,” Somple said. “By leveraging our experience in this market, our team was once again able to accomplish this feat and ensure that Lighthouse has a well-located, adaptable headquarters suiting their needs in the heart of one of northern New Jersey’s up and coming communities.”
As Lighthouse’s new base of operations, the 10,761-square-foot building will allow the organization to engage Hawthorne’s downtown redevelopment district and the community.
