A developer is more than half-leased at a new boutique apartment building in Morristown, touting its proximity to the downtown and its large outdoor amenity spaces.
The builder, PCD Development, said its 58-unit project at 30 Court St. has seen a flurry of activity in recent weeks. The firm has worked alongside Coldwell Banker New Homes, its leasing agent, to lure renters since unveiling the four-story building last fall.
“30 Court has effectively tapped into the pool of renters who want to enjoy the convenience and vibrancy of downtown apartment living in homes with a tremendous amount of space and a high level of style and grandeur,” said Jonathan Stein, PCD’s founder and managing member.
Located a block from the Morristown Green, 30 Court is a collection of upscale two-bedroom and two-bedroom-plus-den floorplans ranging from 1,250 to 2,000 square feet. Amenities include a modern fitness center, a clubroom and an entertainment lounge, along with large outdoor spaces such as a landscaped courtyard with shaded seating and dining areas, oversized fireplace and fire pits, plus an outdoor kitchen area with grill stations.
Sheryl Ritschel, marketing director at Coldwell Banker New Homes, said the building has attracted a renter pool that includes empty-nesters “who want to take advantage of a sizzling for-sale market move into an oversized maintenance-free apartment home.”
“We’re also experiencing high interest from single-professionals and younger couples who want to significantly upgrade their apartment lifestyle,” Ritschel said. “The broad appeal of 30 Court has resulted in a significant uptick in leasing in the past few weeks alone and we expect activity to increase even further as we enter spring.”
Aside from being near the dining, retail and cultural offerings of the downtown, 30 Court is a mile from the Morristown train station. The building is also a short drive from interstates 287, 78 and 80, along with Route 202 and the Garden State Parkway.
