Two retail properties in Central New Jersey have hit the market — one for lease and one for sale to a potential investor — in a set of new offerings by Pierson Commercial.
According to the brokerage team, the sites include a 4,691-square-foot endcap space at 969 Route 22 in North Plainfield. The space is available for lease, offering a location with daily traffic of more than 64,000 vehicles, Super BuyRite Liquor as a cotenant and a population of 122,551 and a median household income of $96,378 within a three-mile radius.
Pierson Commercial’s Anayah Goswami is marketing the property, which has a recently refreshed building façade, some 60 parking spaces and a side loading entrance for deliveries. The firm also touted North Plainfield as a growing retail market with strong residential and daytime populations.
In the second offering, Goswami is seeking a buyer for a freestanding, 2,339-square-foot Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen at 229 Bound Brook Road in Middlesex Borough. Built in 2022, the property has the latest model with a double drive-thru and bypass lane, occupying just over an acre with 26 parking spaces.
The firm added that the site has strong visibility along Route 28 and sits within an extremely dense market with a daytime and residential population of more than 234,000 and 240,000, respectively, within five miles.
“We are excited to market two new opportunities in North Plainfield and Middlesex, New Jersey,” Goswami said. “These properties offer prime locations within the Central Jersey market, allowing retailers to lease a highly visible space along Route 22 or purchase land with a strong national brand as an existing tenant on Route 28. Both, catering to distinct retail markets within a five-mile radius, benefit from their strategic positions on major highways Route 22 and Route 28. These opportunities are ideal for potential retailers and investors seeking high visibility and strong market presence.”
