Two long-serving executives are set to join the C-suite at Planned Cos., a Parsippany-based firm that provides janitorial, maintenance and other services to residential and commercial buildings.
The firm recently announced the promotion of Astrit Gorana to chief operating officer and Dino Iuliano to chief revenue officer. They will assume their respective roles on Jan. 1.
Gorana, who goes by Tony, has been elevated from his current role as executive vice president of Planned Building Services, according to a news release. His existing duties include guiding a team of vice presidents, while identifying and implementing process improvements and client relations throughout the Northeast, mid-Atlantic and West Coast.
He has 17 years of experience with Planned Cos. Prior to Planned Building Services, Gorana started his career in the janitorial and maintenance business as a teenager.
In his new role, he will oversee the operational functions of all divisions throughout the organization, ensuring proper management development and execution.
“As a master of driving key change, transformation initiatives and a ‘getting it done’ mindset, he will ensure proper management development and execution of all aspects of operations,” Planned Cos. wrote in the announcement. “Now, with great focus on enhancing operational excellence and the ability to articulate corporate vision, Gorana is excited to bring his operational strategies to reality and shape the future of the business.”
Gorana also has been the key driver in launching “Planned Goes Green,” the company’s green movement program, and earned an advanced professional credential under the U.S. Green building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design rating system.
Iuliano, the incoming chief revenue officer, is being promoted from executive vice president for Planned Security and Lifestyle Services. In the new role, he will be responsible for all branding, marketing and revenue generating initiatives.
He has more than 14 years of experience with Planned Cos. and carries an extensive background focused on safety and security, the news release said. In his current role, he has overseen all day-to-day operations for more than 1,500 concierge, doormen and security officers throughout the Northeast and mid-Atlantic regions.
He also oversaw a group of more than 20 managers who are directly accountable for daily operations, client and employee satisfaction and retention, the firm said. Prior to Planned Cos., Iuliano served as director of operations for a New Jersey-based security company.
He has also worked as an executive protection specialist for a Fortune 100 company and served in the United States Marine Corps. Before that, he was a sheriff’s officer in New Jersey and graduated from the Executive Protection Institute in Berryville, Virginia.
