Two national restaurant chains have leased a combined 4,800 square feet at a Passaic County shopping center, in a set of deals arranged by The Goldstein Group.
In the larger commitment, Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen took 2,500 square feet at the 161,035-square-foot Pompton Plains property, at 500 Route 23 North. The Goldstein Group Director Chris Conway represented both parties in the deal, noting that the quick-service chain will occupy a freestanding building at what’s known as Plaza 23.
The landlord, Plaza 23 Station LLC, has also leased 2,300 square feet at the property to Just Salad. The New York-based fast-casual chain will occupy an end cap unit in a new freestanding pad site, joining Popeyes and a tenant roster that includes anchors such as Stop & Shop, TJ Maxx, HomeGoods, among several other operators.
The Goldstein Group Director Marc Palestina brokered the transaction.
“Both restaurant users chose freestanding pad sites that offer outstanding visibility,” said Chuck Lanyard, president of The Goldstein Group, which is based in Paramus. “Plaza 23 is a strong neighborhood shopping center anchored by a grocery market and Jackson Avenue is a heavily traveled road leading to the local communities.”
