A new DICK’S House of Sport is coming to the Cherry Hill Mall, marking a key addition to the evolving tenant roster at the PREIT-owned property.
According to a news release, the ground-up 120,000-square-foot store along Route 38 will offer a blend of apparel, equipment, services, interactive experiences and community events. That will include a large assortment of products and in-store experiences such as a climbing wall, multiple golf bays with TrackMan simulators, an outdoor track and field and a multisport cage that can be used for baseball, softball, lacrosse and soccer.
The store is slated to open in 2026, replacing the underutilized One Cherry Hill office building that PREIT is demolishing, the company said. In addition to DICK’S House of Sport, the landlord has secured leases with several retailers set to open in 2025, including Coach, Dr. Martens, Offline by Aerie and Pop Mart, a character-based entertainment company.
“We are proud to welcome these outstanding retailers to Cherry Hill Mall,” said Joe Aristone, chief revenue officer at Philadelphia-based PREIT. “The addition of DICK’S House of Sport, coupled with other sought-after retailers, reflects our strategic approach to capital allocation and our commitment to creating diverse, high-quality shopping experiences. These initiatives will strengthen the mall’s market position while improving overall performance and credit profile of this asset.”
