Levi’s has signed a lease for a new store at the Cherry Hill Mall, in one of three newly announced tenant commitments by the owner of the Route 38 property.
Philadelphia-based PREIT said the apparel company will occupy 3,000 square feet at the mall, while menswear retailer Psycho Bunny has taken 2,390 square feet. Additionally, upscale seafood restaurant Eddie V’s has leased 8,685 square feet.
Cushman & Wakefield’s Laura Pomerantz brokered the transaction with Levi’s, which is slated to open this holiday season, PREIT said. CBRE’s Drew Schaul and Steve Gartner completed the deal involving Psycho Bunny, paving the way for a mid-2023 opening.
Meantime, David Orkin of CBRE and Sean Burke of McDevitt Co. represented the tenant and landlord in the Eddie V’s deal, respectively. The space at Cherry Hill Mall will be Eddie V’s first South Jersey location and its second in the state when it opens in spring 2023.
“Cherry Hill Mall continues to attract leading retailers driving it to the next level of super-regional, fashion destinations,” said Joseph F. Coradino, CEO of PREIT. “Serving the densely populated Philadelphia suburbs, our premier tenant mix puts it squarely in the nation’s top-tier malls. These highly sought-after brands attract new customers and retail and dining establishments that serve as a catalyst for value creation.”
The deals follow recent openings at the mall by Warby Parker and Marc Cain, PREIT said, while the property will also soon welcome a Rumi Life store. As of June 30, occupancy at the mall was 96.2 percent.
