Joe Orsita of REDCOM Design & Construction has joined the United Way of Greater Union County’s board of directors, the Westfield-based firm announced last week.
According to a news release, Orsita is a manager of special projects who plays a vital role at the company. That includes managing warranties for completed projects and overseeing smaller-scale construction initiatives for new clients, serving as their primary point of contact and ensuring consistent communication and timely solutions when new developments arise.
Orsita also manages properties for REDCOM’s owner, Greg J. Redington.
“Joe’s leadership, dedication and passion for giving back make him an excellent choice for this role,” REDCOM CEO Ryan Teicher said. “His commitment to making a positive impact in the community aligns perfectly with the values we uphold at REDCOM. I’m confident he will bring tremendous energy and valuable insight to the United Way’s mission.”
Before joining REDCOM, Orsita spent 11 years as a facilities manager at Verizon and worked as a project manager at Installation Concepts Inc., the news releases said. He holds an MBA from Centenary University and multiple OSHA certifications.
Outside of work, Orsita enjoys skiing, fishing, playing guitar and participating in recreational sports like flag football and basketball.
“I really resonate with United Way and the work they do for the community,” Orsita said. “I didn’t have the easiest upbringing and knowing there are people and programs dedicated to helping others locally means a lot to me. I’m excited to be a part of that. It’s also an honor to work alongside Julienne Cherry, the CEO, whose determination to effect meaningful change in our community is truly inspiring.”
