Accurate has leased more than two-thirds of its new 105-unit upscale apartment building in downtown Bound Brook, the developer announced this week.
Known as Citizen Bound Brook, the property at 507 Main St. has attracted renters thanks in part to its proximity to NJ Transit commuter rail service and to retail offerings such as a supermarket, a florist and restaurants in the central business district. The developer launched leasing in February and welcomed its first residents two months later.
Monthly rental rates at the collection of one- and two-bedroom homes start from $2,030 net-effective, the firm said, including grand opening incentives of one month free on a 13-month lease or two months free on a 26-month lease.
“We are proud to reach the 70 percent leased milestone at Citizen Bound Brook so quickly,” said Jack Klugmann, CEO and president Accurate. “Our renters love the downtown Bound Brook location and are excited to live in one of our ‘Citizen’ brand communities. We look forward to the continued success of the building and the continued satisfaction of our residents as we welcome even more people to the community.”
Designed by Jarmel Kizel Architects & Engineers, with interiors by Susan Strauss Design, Citizen Bound Brook provides residents with amenities such as a club room, a modern fitness center and a landscaped outdoor terrace, according to a news release. The building also has 5,000 square feet of street-level retail space meant to serve both building tenants and patrons of downtown Bound Brook.
Local leaders in the borough have pushed in recent years to attract developers such as Accurate, seeking to enhance their downtown with additional residents and businesses through new mixed-use projects. The community benefits from its highway and mass transit access and proximity to the retail and recreational offerings of Somerset County, which is also home to an affluent population and large corporate employers.
Within the borough, renters at Citizen Bound Brook and other buildings have access to the historic Brook Arts Center, a calendar of community events and festivals and the Delaware & Raritan State Park with its corridors for hiking, jogging, bicycling, canoeing, fishing and horseback riding.
