A growing restaurant chain is seeking 30 new locations in northern and central New Jersey, having tapped Ripco Real Estate to help spearhead its expansion.
The fast casual concept, Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers, recently announced the selection of its first Garden State location at 810 West Edgar Road in Linden. It now hopes to find additional drive-thru sites to help grow a footprint that already includes more than 400 locations nationwide.
“We are confident that our knowledge and retail expertise in New Jersey will help Freddy’s reach its goal of opening two to three restaurants per year,” said Curtis Nassau, executive vice president in Ripco’s New Jersey office. “We admire Freddy’s concept, known for quality food and warm hospitality and can help them rollout their brand across New Jersey.”
Nassau is leading the assignment alongside Ripco’s Patrick Brake, seeking locations that can accommodate a 2,600- to 3,200-square-foot building. They said the locations can be ground leased, leased, built-to-suit or purchased.
“I’m incredibly excited to be introducing such an amazing brand to New Jersey and can’t wait for the community to experience ‘The Freddy’s way’ for themselves,” said Ethan Coleman, owner of New Jersey Steakburgers. “I look forward to building upon the brand’s continued success and to serving the people of Linden and surrounding communities for years to come.”
The Linden location will be part of Legacy Square, a new Walmart-anchored shopping center developed by Cypress Equities. The highly trafficked corridor along Route 1&9 includes Home Depot, Target and ShopRite.
