Newmark Associates has added to its brokerage team with the hiring of a longtime sales and marketing executive.
In a news release, the Cedar Knolls-based firm said it hired Jay Zeitchik, who brings more than 30 years of experience from industries such as media. In his new role, he will cultivate market interest in office, retail and industrial sales and leasing, along with multifamily investment opportunities in Essex, Morris, Bergen and Union counties.
Zeitchik is a former vice president and director of sales with media groups in New York City and Chicago, Newmark said. He recently held that role with Katz Media Group, where he was responsible for national sales of $100 million for 20 major market TV stations.
His expertise includes negotiating sales; strategizing, developing and selling marketing programs; and managing and training sales teams, the news release said. The Roseland resident earned a degree in political science from Brooklyn College and recently acquired his New Jersey real estate license through the American School of Business.
