Alfred Sanzari Enterprises has made another move to enhance its flagship Glenpointe campus in Teaneck, partnering with a technology firm focused on amenities and tenant engagement.
The landlord this week announced the collaboration with Better Spaces, a New York-based startup, to bring the service to the 50-acre complex. Under the partnership, the company will operate, program and monitor usage of amenity spaces within Glenpointe’s 650,000 square feet of office space, with a goal of optimizing the spaces and improving the tenant experience.
The offering is one of the first of its kind in New Jersey, the firms said, using technology to provide data to landlords and community managers that helps them tailor programming and amenities to their individual tenant populations.
“We consistently look for new ways to ensure that Glenpointe can continue to be one of New Jersey’s premier office destinations,” said Ryan Sanzari, chief operating officer at Alfred Sanzari Enterprises. “Our partnership with Better Spaces will not only continue to drive us toward that goal but also give us the opportunity to learn and better respond to the needs of our tenants in real time. The actionable data Better Spaces’ platform provides will allow us to home in on tenant preferences and satisfaction to deliver a truly superior tenant experience.
“We are confident that this platform will add tremendous value to the community we’ve built at Glenpointe and continue to attract New Jersey’s top companies to the space, while maintaining our strong roster of tenants.”
The Better Spaces service launched at Glenpointe on April 29, according to a news release. The platform is slated to initially occupy a 1,500-square-foot hub within the complex’s main corridor, known as The Pointe, offering easy access to all tenants at the property.
Sanzari said the operator will regularly change programming for the community lounge to offer fresh amenities that are driven by tenant engagement and interests such as ping pong, yoga and chair massage, the news release said. The Pointe will also include private meeting spaces and a kitchenette with infused water available at all times.
Better Spaces will engage the office population using an app, which allows tenants to access the amenity space, sign up for classes and programs and book available private rooms. Beyond The Pointe, the service will have a robust presence at Glenpointe throughout the other common areas, for which it will also provide programming.
Since its inception in 2017, the startup has worked with many New York landlords to engage and retain tenants through what it describes as machine learning technology and agile amenities.
“Better Spaces was created to fill a void in today’s office amenity equation,” said Janera Soerel, Better Spaces’ director of programming. “As a real estate tech company with a human touch, we take an innovative approach to tenant engagement by combining flexible space, technology and programming to curate programs and configure amenity space to meet tenants’ evolving needs.
“Our agile amenities platform not only transforms the employee experience but also provides landlords with previously unknown insights to better understand tenant satisfaction and predict tenant retention in the critical years of a lease. We’re pleased to be collaborating with Alfred Sanzari Enterprises to expand our footprint into the New Jersey market while creating a vibrant environment at Glenpointe that will empower employees to live their best work lives.”
The Pointe launched this week with programming such as yoga and meditation, a ping pong tournament and a chair massage station. Better Spaces has also opened a wellness bar offering cold-pressed juices and healthy breakfast snacks.
