A project manager at Alfred Sanzari Enterprises has earned an expanded role and a new title after more than a decade with the firm’s construction department.

In a news release Monday, the Hackensack-based firm said it promoted John Schleer to director of project management. The new title marks an extension of his role within the construction department, where he will continue to oversee pre-construction and construction-related activities throughout the developer’s real estate portfolio.
He will also work closely alongside Sanzari’s leasing department, building supervisors and tenants.
“Being part of the Alfred Sanzari Enterprises team for the last 11 years has been extremely rewarding both on a personal and professional level,” Schleer said. “I’ve been fortunate to be surrounded by some amazing mentors and leaders within our organization, which has allowed me to learn and grow within the construction department.
“Alfred Sanzari Enterprises prides itself on the quality of its real estate assets and providing outstanding service to our tenants, and I look forward to taking on this expanded role at a time of such exciting company growth.”
The Roxbury resident joined Sanzari in 2007 as a construction project manager, the news release said. Andrew Gerleit, vice president of construction, said the promotion marks a natural progression of Schleer’s role.
“This promotion is well deserved,” Gerleit said. “Integral to Alfred Sanzari Enterprises’ success is our ability to develop talented professionals from within our organization. We congratulate John on his many years of hard work and service, and are confident he will make a significant contribution to the ongoing success of Alfred Sanzari Enterprises.”
