A global tobacco company has signed an 18,500-square-foot renewal at Glenpointe, Alfred Sanzari Enterprises’ flagship business campus in Teaneck.
The commercial real estate firm announced Tuesday that JT International USA, a long-term tenant, had recommitted as part of an expansion and relocation within the complex. The company is growing after more than 11 years at the property, where it maintains its executive, marketing, sales, corporate affairs and communications, finance, human resources and information technology teams for its U.S. market.
Sanzari said that, as JTI evolved over that time, it worked with the company to find a larger space within Glenpointe that would allow it to remain at the mixed-use campus.
“For many businesses, relocation can be a massive disruption, but business realities can often make it a necessity,” said Jerry Barta, vice president and director of leasing and marketing for Alfred Sanzari Enterprises. “Fortunately, the adaptable construction of Glenpointe ensures that the complex can serve the evolving space needs of growing tenants like JTI USA.
“Coupled with our focus on building long-term relationships with our tenants, the unparalleled Glenpointe tenant experience provides businesses with stability amidst today’s uncertain circumstances.”
Barta represented ownership in the transaction at 300/400/500 Frank W. Burr Blvd. Greg Barkan of CBRE represented JTI, one of the world’s largest manufacturers and distributors of tobacco products, with 45,000 employees across the globe.
“As our company has evolved over the past 11 years, the Alfred Sanzari Enterprises management and leasing teams have been with us every step of the way, ensuring that Glenpointe was able to meet our needs as our business grew,” said Michael Mete, JTI’s chief financial officer. “Their responsiveness and hands-on approach have fostered a great partnership and we’re proud to continue to call Glenpointe home.”
