A marble and granite supplier has purchased an 18,000-square-foot industrial property in Plainfield, in a newly announced deal by Sheldon Gross Realty.
According to the brokerage team, Eurasia Stone paid $1.23 million for the two-story building at 403 Berckman St. The Manhattan-based company will use the space as its New Jersey storage and fabrication facility, benefiting from its convenient access to area ports and its headquarters.
“Eurasia Stone was looking for a storage facility, which is what this property is primarily suited for,” Sheldon Gross Realty’s Matt Leonelli said. “As an example of how ideal a solution it is, the warehouse can comfortably store dozens of 10-foot slabs. It’s perfect — and the location is also terrific.”
The firm announced the deal Tuesday, noting that the building includes a 10,500-square-foot ground floor with office and warehouse space, plus a 7,500-square-foot upper floor for additional storage. The property is adjacent to Route 28 and less than two miles from Route 22, providing a quick route to other area highways.
