A family law practice has signed a lease expansion at a Cranford office building, in one of more than a dozen third-quarter deals completed by landlord Signature Acquisitions.
The practice, SeidenFreed LLC, took an undisclosed amount of space in the recent transaction at 20 Commerce Drive. Signature also secured a renewal at the building, with Rohlig USA, as well as a separate renewal at nearby 6 Commerce Drive with Bayada Health.
The deals are among 71,000 square feet in leasing activity across the firm’s 10-building office portfolio in New Jersey and Long Island. New leases and expansions comprised 55,000 square feet, while renewals totaled 16,000 square feet.
“The anticipated decline in interest rates is supporting economic growth, and the strength of the business environment has helped drive steady leasing across our portfolio,” said Sandy Monaghan, senior vice president at Signature Acquisitions. “As firms seeking out new locations have prioritized convenience and quality in their work environments, we’ve reaped the benefits of the demand for well-located, amenity-rich office space.”
The landlord’s other Q3 leasing highlights include two new deals with Bierman Autism Centers, which provides therapy services to children with autism in more than 20 locations across seven states, at 65 Jackson Drive in Cranford and Waterview Plaza in Parsippany. At 100 Walnut Ave. in Clark, Signature completed a new lease with Lavinstar and a renewal with Allstate, as well as a new deal at 500 Plaza Drive in Secaucus with the New Jersey Education Association.
At Hauppauge Office Park, a two-building, 270,000-square-foot office park in Suffolk County, Signature completed three deals in the third quarter. They include an expansion with AnnieMac, a new lease with Grace Industries and a renewal with Teal Kitchen, the firm said.
“We’re encouraged by the sustained leasing activity across our portfolio and the continued strength of these suburban office markets,” Monaghan said.
