The operator of a hockey rink in Franklin Township has sold the property to a buyer that is now slated to use it as warehouse space, according to brokers with Cushman & Wakefield.
In a news release, the real estate services firm said it represented Fusion on Ice LLC in its sale of 15 Worlds Fair Drive, a 55,800-square-foot complex at 15 Worlds Fair Drive in the town’s Somerset section. Built in 2007, the structure sits on more than four acres, comprising 15,800 square feet of office space and 40,000 square feet for warehouse use, with 22-foot ceiling heights and ample parking.
C&W’s Shawn Straka and Joseph Ratner brokered the sale.
“In a market overflowing with demand for industrial product, this standalone property proved to be a rare acquisition opportunity which resulted in significant interest from a wide range of buyers,” Straka said. “Located in the heart of one of the highest demanded industrial zones in Somerset County, the property was originally designed as a specialized, recreational use asset that could easily be converted to warehouse.”
