Shrewsbury-based STAR Building Services has hired Christopher Belkot and Andrew Batshaw as vice presidents as part of its expansion into the greater Philadelphia region and New York’s Westchester County.
The firm, which provides janitorial, maintenance and front desk solutions for multifamily and condo properties in New Jersey, said Belkot joins its team as vice president of operations, while Andrew Batshaw joins as vice president of business development and client relations. Their arrival comes amid a plan to meet the growing demand for its services in the region, prompting an expansion into the surrounding areas.
In his new role, Belkot oversees the operations team and manages all aspects of the company’s day-to-day functions, according to a news release. STAR noted that he began his career as a portfolio manager for a commercial pool management company, where he rose to become director of operations, and holds a bachelor’s in business administration with a concentration in organizational leadership.
Batshaw, meantime, comes with more than 25 years of experience in real estate, development, community association management and business development, the news release said. He is a former vice president of community development for a private residential developer, where he honed his skills in facilities management, labor and vendor relations, risk management and emergency planning and preparedness.
