A technology firm has established a new regional headquarters at the Bell Works campus in Holmdel as part of a recent expansion to 35,000 square feet at the property.
Somerset Development, the owner of the 2 million-square-foot complex, said Spirent Communications now has 130 employees at the property at 101 Crawfords Corner Road. The provider of automated test and assurance solutions for networks, cybersecurity and positioning has moved its regional operations from Eatontown and occupies both office and lab space at the campus, where it has been a tenant since 2015.
“Spirent has thrived as part of this collaborative community and continues to benefit from the incredible energy here at Bell Works,” said Ray Lee, Spirent’s director of global properties. “The uniqueness of the metroburb community was the driving factor in our decision to expand our space at Bell Works and bring all of our regional team members to the campus.
“We’re thrilled to be able to offer our employees a workplace in which collaboration, inspiration and connectivity is not only possible, but ingrained in the day-to-day experience at the metroburb.”
Located about a mile from Exit 114 of the Garden State Parkway, Bell Works is home to a host of office tenants, retailers, community services and other amenities. The mixed-use campus in recent years has brought new life to the former Bell Labs research center, which was once the nation’s largest vacant office building.
Somerset Development detailed the expansion by Spirent while also touting the recent opening of spaces such as the newly expanded coLab, Bell Works’ co-working and flexible office space facility, and a new rooftop area known as Bar Bella.
“We are ecstatic to be strengthening our partnership with Spirent, with Bell Works serving as its regional headquarters for the tristate area,” said Ralph Zucker, president of Somerset Development. “Bell Works’ spirit perfectly complements Spirent’s desire for a vibrant work environment in an easily accessible location.”
