CubeSmart has taken over management of a 78,000-square-foot self-storage facility in Howell, part of a mixed-use portfolio owned by TFE Properties for more than 25 years.
According to the landlord, the property is part of the Regal Plaza development at 2299 Route 9 North, offering nearly 550 units with computerized gate access and options such as climate-controlled, ground-level and oversized units. The firm noted that the facility, previously operated by EZ Self Storage, benefits from its highway location and its proximity to new and growing residential and commercial developments.
TFE Properties has owned the portfolio since 1998, the firm said in a news release. The site is also home to Dollar General, The Learning Experience, White Castle, Frutta Bowls and others across 24,000 square feet of retail space.
“We saw this as a great opportunity affiliating with CubeSmart again,” said Carey Tajfel, president of East Windsor-based TFE Properties. “We’ve seen incredible results when we opened a new East Brunswick location in 2020, and we’re excited to expand our relationship with them. We’re confident their brand recognition and expertise will improve occupancy and efficiencies in Howell.”
