Three companies have joined the roster at a 310,000-square-foot office building in Ridgefield Park, where they have signed a total of more than 83,000 square feet.
Ownership, a joint venture of The KABR Group and Kushner Cos., announced the new tenants at 55 Challenger Road after signing leases earlier this year. The largest among them is Kumon North America, which is slated to take over nearly 61,000 square feet in March as part of a relocation from Teaneck.
Meantime, biotechnology pharmaceutical firm Beigene USA has leased 13,123 square feet at the six-story building and moved into its space this past June. KB Insurance, an underwriter specifically targeting the Korean-American business community, has taken 10,836 square feet and expects to take occupancy December.
Both companies are relocating from Fort Lee.
“We are excited to welcome Kumon, Beigene USA and KB Insurance to our growing roster of world class clients,” said Raffi Aynilian, managing director of KABR Group. “The many new amenities and updates, as well as easy access to Secaucus Junction shuttle and on-site New Jersey Transit bus service has attracted companies from Manhattan, Fort Lee, and Teaneck.”
Cushman & Wakefield represented ownership, which touted 55 Challenger’s on-site access to NJ Transit service, proximity to Manhattan and amenities such as a full-service cafeteria, gym with shower and lockers and data center with co-location servers. Built in 1990 and substantially renovated by KABR in 2014, the property is part of the 60-acre, mixed-use Overpeck Centre development, which also includes a Hilton Garden Inn and AMC Theatre.
The property is directly off Interstate 95 and offers easy access Interstate 80 and Route 46.
