A thrift chain has opened the doors to a new store in Union, where it occupies 40,000 square feet along one of the town’s top retail corridors.
Levin Management Corp. announced Thursday that 2nd Ave Value Stores has debuted at the Union Shopping Center at 2661 Morris Ave. The real estate services firm, which leases and manages the property, detailed a store design that includes a relaxing library lounge with a wide collection of books, a luxury shoe wall and well-organized merchandise displays.
The store also offers expedited checkout compatible with cash, credit and Apple Pay.
“2nd Ave provides a unique and immersive shopping experience unlike other thrift stores, meeting the wants and needs of customers ranging from value hunters and collectors to resellers and DIY-ers,” said Tony Peressini, the CEO of 2nd Ave Value Stores.
Sitting at the intersection of Morris and Liberty avenues, Union Shopping Center is accessible to Kean University and Union High School, LMC said, also touting its proximity to several major thoroughfares including the Garden State Parkway, Interstate 78 and Route 22.
