Toll Brothers Inc. has unveiled the final piece of its Provost Square development in Jersey City, delivering a 34-story high-end condominium tower in tandem with Sculptor Real Estate.
The partners last week announced the completion of the for-sale project at 151 Bay St., which features 259 homes in the downtown Powerhouse Arts District. It marks the third phase of a plan spearheaded by the company’s Toll Brothers City Living, joining two other buildings with a combined 659 rental and for-sale homes that have revitalized a former Manischewitz matzo factory and The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Co.’s Annex property.
Closings are well underway at the new building, where prices begin in the low $800,000s.
“We are excited to welcome our first homeowners to their new residences and thrilled with the positive response we have received from the community,” said David Von Spreckelsen, president of Toll Brothers City Living. “The exceptional amenities, finishes and location of 151 Bay Street have been in great demand among homebuyers. Sales have been brisk since opening our doors and we are now over 75 percent sold.”
Designed by SLCE with interiors by Bernheimer Architecture, 151 Bay St. has amenities such as a 34th-floor sky lounge with sweeping city and waterfront views, according to a news release. The property also has a fitness center with a yoga room and a residents’ lounge with a kitchen that opens to a sprawling sundeck with a gas fire pit and grills, seating for dining and a pool with chaise lounges.
Buyers, meantime, have direct access to the pedestrian-friendly plaza on Provost Street that serves as the focal point of the Provost Square project. Located between Morgan and Bay streets, the space has restored cobblestone with seating and landscaping and is home to a performing arts theater.
The final phase follows the 38-story, 417-unit Morgan at Provost Square rental tower and the 28-story, 242-unit condo building known as 10 Provost Street at Provost Square. All three are steps from all that downtown Jersey City has to offer, including farmers markets, cultural destinations and the Newark Avenue retail and restaurant plaza.
