A trucking company has expanded to nearly 159,000 square feet at an industrial property in Metuchen, Bussel Realty Corp. announced in a news release Monday.
BRC brokers represented Stephen Izzi Trucking in the transaction at 60 Leonard St., having also arranged the original 62,802-square-foot commitment on the tenant’s behalf in 2022. The newly announced deal brought the property to full occupancy.
Gregory Irving, executive vice president of BRC, was named as Stephen Izzi Trucking’s representative. The brokerage firm’s Steve Bussel, president, represented the landlord, Seagis Property Group, after having sold the property to the industrial real estate company in 2022.
“It was a pleasure to represent Stephen Izzi Trucking, a longtime client of BRC, and work with Seagis Property Group, in bringing this deal to closure,” Irving said. “Seagis is one of the finest landlords in New Jersey, and the property was ideal for my client’s growing business and expansion plans in the state.”
BRC described the property as being close to Interstate 287 and Exit 10 on the New Jersey Turnpike. The building, which sits on 7.5 acres, also has 21-foot ceiling heights, 20 tailboards, trailer parking and offices.
“We are excited to expand and extend Stephen Izzi Trucking into the full building at 60 Leonard St.,” said Tyler Baker, a vice president with Seagis. “David Izzi and Greg of Bussel Realty Corp were both a pleasure to work with and we look forward to the long-term relationship.”
