Tulfra Real Estate has entered into a long-term ground lease with QuickChek Corp. just days after acquiring a redevelopment site in Cranford that will be home to a new location for the convenience store chain.
The developer last week announced the deal with QuickChek, which plans to build a new facility on the 1.8-acre site at 370 North Ave. East. Harry Rosen of D.L. Rosen & Co. brokered the transaction.
“Thanks to this long-term lease with QuickChek, this property will transform into a revenue-generating benefit for the municipality and residents alike,” said Sonny Jumani, partner and president of Rochelle Park-based Tulfra. He touted the site’s location off Exit 137 of the Garden State Parkway, which he said will attract thousands of visitors each day.
“More than 261,000 motorists pass through the area,” Jumani said. “Motorists can quickly hop off the roadway — toll-free — to fuel their vehicles and grab a bite to eat.”
