National thrift store concept Savers has taken more than 25,000 square feet at The Plaza at Cherry Hill, a power center in the township owned by Urban Edge Properties.
In a news release, the real estate investment trust said Savers is leasing an end-cap space at the Route 38 property, where it joins the likes of Aldi, LA Fitness and Raymour & Flanigan, among others. The 416,871-square-foot complex is now 82 percent leased after the newest commitment and a recent expansion by Total Wine.
Rob Cooper and Shane Hart of Metro Commercial Real Estate and Spence Mehl of RCS Real Estate Advisors represented Urban Edge, while Metro Commercial’s Stephen Carrozza worked on behalf of Savers.
“With Savers opening this year and the brand new Total Wine store fully operational, The Plaza at Cherry Hill is experiencing a terrific revitalization,” said Justin Lustig, vice president of leasing for Urban Edge Properties. “Savers brings a great concept and new use to the property that complements our other tenants and will draw shoppers from an even wider radius.”
The space will be Savers’ third store in the Philadelphia region, the news release said. Urban Edge, meantime, said it was planning a series of upgrades to The Plaza at Cherry Hill to enhance the façade, landscaping and parking lot.
