Construction is underway on what will become more than 7,000 square feet of new retail space in Lincoln Park, the third ground-up project in the borough by Vita & Vita Realty Corp.
According to the developer, the project known as Lincoln Square is rising at the busy intersection of Boonton Turnpike and Comly Road. The firm has preleased part of the space to Dunkin’, which will operate a drive-thru, and Hackensack Meridian Ambulatory Care.
The 7,146-square-foot project is redeveloping the former Lincoln 1st Bank headquarters property. The lender, which has since merged with Ion Bank, relocated to Lincoln Park Plaza at 261 Comly Road, an adjacent 60,000-square-foot complex also owned by Vita.
Development of Lincoln Square follows the firm’s 2020 delivery of The Corner Shoppes, also in Lincoln Park, which is home to Jersey Mike’s Subs, Bubbakoo’s Burritos, About Face and Four3 Rehab & Performance.
Lincoln Square is slated open in spring 2023.
