Weichert Commercial Brokerage Inc. has added to its team with the hiring of a new vice president.

The firm, which is based in Morris Plains, on Monday announced the addition of Robert Skinner to its Edison office. He joins the company from a boutique brokerage in New York City, bringing more than 20 years of experience in real estate and marketing.
“We are delighted to have Robert join Weichert Commercial Brokerage as vice president,” said James Sousa, president of Weichert Commercial. “His expertise in brand development and success in establishing and maintaining positive relationships with high-stakes clients make him a great addition to our team.”
Before joining Weichert, Skinner managed a sales division of commercial and residential buildings for another brokerage firm, specializing in sales and leases of hotels, offices and retail, according to a news release. He also has a background in marketing and produced and hosted a radio show focused on real estate.
The Jackson resident serves as an Ocean County committeeman and is chairman of the Jackson Township Rent Leveling Board, the news release said.
