Two medical practices have signed leases totaling 16,025 square feet at a Union City office building, in a set of transactions brokered by Weiss Realty.
The larger of the two, Sanitas of New Jersey LLC, committed to 14,375 square feet for 12 years at Kennedy Medical Center, located at 3196 Kennedy Blvd., Weiss said. The practice is an independent health care organization with specialized services and urgent care clinics.
The other tenant, Rheumatology Associates of North Jersey, leased 1,650 square feet on the second floor of the four-story building. The practice consists of board-certified specialists and offers diagnostic and treatment for adult patients with any type of rheumatic disease.
Both new tenants join a roster that also includes Bayada Nurses Inc., Progressive Pediatrics, Cardio-Med Services and Health Check Eye Center. The transactions bring the medical office building to nearly 100 percent occupancy.
“We are very pleased with the signing of these medical/office tenants,” said Matthew Weiss, vice president of Moonachie-based Weiss Realty. “It further confirms Kennedy Medical Center’s status as the premier medical office building in Hudson County.”
The Sanitas Medical Center, working in collaboration with Horizon Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Jersey, was slated to start taking appointments this month. It will be one of several locations that the organization operates around the state, offering both primary and urgent care services at the Union City location.
