Weiss Properties has secured local approvals to build 240 new luxury apartments in the Burlington County township of Delran, the firm announced Wednesday.
The developer, which is based in New Brunswick, said it expects to break ground early this year on the complex at Route 130 and South Fairview Street, in a project that will activate a long-vacant parcel adjacent to a Home Depot store. Plans for the nearly 15-acre site call for units with high-end finishes and a 5,700-square-foot clubhouse with amenities such as a fitness center and yoga studio, a resort-style pool, a dog park and a grilling area.
“We are thrilled to be bringing the Alina Apartments to Delran,” said Robert Weiss, president of Weiss Properties. “Our goal is to provide high-quality, affordable places to live, and the Alina Apartments is a perfect example of that commitment. We can’t wait to see this development come to life and provide a fantastic living experience for our residents.”
An affiliate of Weiss Properties purchased the site last spring, in a deal arranged by Rose Commercial Real Estate. The brokerage firm at the time noted that local officials rezoned the former retail property to accommodate luxury apartments, adding that the project would assist with the township’s state-mandated affordable housing obligation.
On Wednesday, Weiss said the complex’s exterior architecture will have a stone finish on the front that adds texture and depth to the façade, with expansive windows that provide an abundance of natural light. The buildings will be surrounded by landscaped grounds, with walkways and seating areas for residents.
