A national fitness chain has leased 38,000 square feet at a newly repositioned retail center in Woodbridge, according to landlord JJ Operating Inc.
The firm announced this week that 24 Hour Fitness had committed to the space at Woodbridge Plaza, a property located along Route 35 in the township’s Avenel section. The complex is a former Pathmark-anchored center that JJ Operating took over in 2016.
Jason Pierson and Ryan Starkman of Pierson Commercial represented 24 Hour Fitness, while Neil Schorr of Realty Insight Group and Mike Testa of Jeffery Realty Inc. represented the landlord.
The fitness operator joins existing tenants Kmart, Boston Market and Bank of America at the property. JJ Operating Partner Michael Jemal called 24 Hour Fitness “a great match for Woodbridge Plaza.”
The firm is marketing another 43,000 square feet of divisible space on the property’s left end cap.
“A new tenant would enjoy over 360 linear feet of street facing property,” Jemal said. “It would be a great opportunity for a business that benefits from a strong window shopping presence.” Woodbridge Plaza,
