Woodmont Properties has broken ground on the second piece of a luxury rental property in Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley, with plans to build another 120 homes on a 14-acre site.
According to the developer, the newest phase will comprise 10 buildings at 3535 Grandview Drive in Lower Macungie. That includes two mixed-use structures fronting Route 100, which will have some 13,300 square feet of retail space and 21 one- and two-bedroom apartments above, while the balance will have 99 of Woodmont’s carriage-style dwellings with two bedrooms, some with a den, and options for single and multi-floor living that will provide a luxury townhome living experience.
The first phase of Woodmont Valley included 204 one- and two- bedroom apartments, which the developer completed in 2017.
“Lower Macungie offers a unique blend of tranquility and convenience, making it an increasingly popular home choice for discerning Lehigh Valley renters,” said Stephen Santola, Woodmont’s executive vice president and general counsel. “Woodmont Valley has become a vital part of this vibrant community, and we’re excited to build on that foundation with the second phase. This expansion underscores our commitment to enriching the Lehigh Valley with high-quality residential and commercial spaces that meet the needs of today’s residents and businesses.”
Aside from homes with upscale design, construction materials and appliances, renters at the new Woodmont property will have access to amenities such as a clubhouse and resident lounge, a sundeck with a heated pool and a terrace with a fire pit, grills and picnic areas, according to a news release. Plans also call for a strength and cardio center with on-demand virtual fitness classes, a game room, a theater and a bark park and indoor pet spa, as well as complimentary WiFi in common areas and walking trails.
The developer noted that Woodmont Valley is adjacent to a Weis supermarket and provides easy access to Interstate 78, Route 22, the Pennsylvania Turnpike Northeast Extension and the Philadelphia and New York City metropolitan areas.
