Woodmont Properties has added to its leadership ranks with the hiring of a veteran human resources director.

The firm, which is based in Fairfield, announced Thursday that Cynthia Gonzalez has joined the executive team as director of human resources. In her new role, she will spearhead human resources initiatives with a special focus on fostering high-performing culture, cultivating internal career growth, talent acquisition and professional learning and development.
She leads Woodmont’s human resources department with more than 17 years of experience within various industries nationally.
“I was immediately attracted to the strong leadership team at Woodmont Properties and the incredibly close-knit culture that was already established,” Gonzalez said. “Woodmont’s strategic vision, strong leadership and position in the real estate industry is the type of growing organization I wanted to be a part of, and I’m thrilled to join the team at Woodmont Properties.”
Gonzalez holds a master’s in public administration from Rutgers University’s School of Public Affairs and Administration and a bachelor’s degree with a minor in sociology from City University of New York, Queens College. Prior to joining Woodmont, she was the director of human resources at a powerhouse franchisee of three iconic national brands that operated two independent proprietary concepts, covering 147 restaurants and employing more than 7,000 people nationally.
She previously was a senior human resources business partner for a nationally and regionally ranked hospital system, according to a news release. In this role, Gonzalez was responsible for a physician medical group covering more than 300 sites and 4,000 people within New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
Woodmont added that the medical system employed more than 20,000 people and won multiple awards and designations annually under the Fortune 100 Best Places to Work For ranking.
Over the course of her career, Gonzalez has led human resources in more than 30 states, the news release said. She also served in the public and nonprofit sector as a senior director of administration in one of the nation’s top government public health agencies and various nonprofit organizations dedicated to social services.
“We are tremendously excited to welcome Cindy to Woodmont Properties, as she brings wide-ranging skill sets and years of valuable experience to our team,” said Lewis Zlotnick, the firm’s president. “We look forward to the incredible value and exceptional contributions she will offer our hardworking team members.”
