A community organization has acquired an 11,000-square-foot office building in Somerset County, under a newly announced transaction by Zimmel Associates.
The Edison-based brokerage firm said it represented the seller, Holland Brook LLC, in the transaction at 1941 Holland Brook in Branchburg. It identified the buyer as Chinmaya Mission Tri-State Center, which purchased the freestanding, two-story building for $1.1 million and plans to use it as a community center.
“The seller was extremely pleased in our ability to sell so quickly under the current marketplace challenges,” said David Zimmel, president of Zimmel Associates, noting that the building was previously leased to a day care operator. He also said the buyer, which was represented by Midtown Commercial Realty, did not need financing and completed the sale within 60 days.
In a news release, Zimmel said the property features an outdoor play area, an in-ground pool and ample parking. The building also includes a large commercial kitchen, fireplace and brick chimney, along with a three-bedroom apartment on the second floor.
