A production company for events and conferences has leased 18,000 square feet at a Hackensack industrial building, brokers with NAI James E. Hanson said Tuesday.
The real estate services firm announced that it represented The Stro Cos., the landlord at 211 South Newman St., in the transaction with MetroMultimedia. NAI Hanson highlighted the building’s location just off Interstate 80 and its proximity to New York City, noting that the tenant will use the building for storage of multimedia equipment and fulfillment of orders in the tristate area.
“In a market as crowded and competitive as northern New Jersey, highly experienced brokerage teams can make all the difference for landlords hoping to find quality tenants at fair market value,” said Andrew Somple, a member of the NAI Hanson brokerage team. “Through our deep understanding of the market, our team has built strong relationships with many of the area’s most successful developers like The Stro Companies to help them navigate all facets of increasingly complex commercial real estate transactions.”
Somple brokered the lease alongside Scott K. Perkins and Justin Allessio. They noted that the deal marks the second transaction negotiated by NAI Hanson on South Newman Street in the last year. In June 2019, the trio brokered Stro’s acquisition of 211 South Newman St. and the adjacent 65,677-square-foot industrial building at 215 South Newman St.
Stro has since completed upgrades to the roof, parking, truck court, windows and façade along with increasing the building’s loading capabilities, according to a news release. Its newest tenant at 211 South Newmark St., MetroMultimedia, is headquartered in Paramus and provides audiovisual services for special events, galas, conferences, meetings, conventions and trade shows.
