A new bagel shop has opened at the mixed-use development in Burlington County known as The Shops at Old York Village, under a recently announced lease by Renaissance Properties.
The developer noted that Mikey Bagels, which specializes in New York-style, hand-rolled bagels that are kettle cooked daily, leases 3,000 square feet at 95 Saddle Way Blvd. in Chesterfield. It’s part of some 39,000 square feet of retail and commercial space across two separate buildings, serving 34 apartments above and more than 1,100 households within walking or biking distance.
“We are so happy to welcome Mikey Bagels to The Shops at Old York Village,” said Robert Adinolfi, chief operating officer at Old Bridge-based Renaissance Properties. “This brand new downtown offers appealing retail storefronts and apartments uniquely designed to complement the charming, neo-traditional architecture employed throughout the community.”
Mikey Bagels was one of three recent tenant commitments at The Shops at Old York Village. According to a news release, the business celebrated its opening day by sending bagel gifts around to the local police and fire departments, township officials, building department and schools in Chesterfield.
“It was our way of letting our friends and neighbors know that we are here, and we are extremely proud to be part of their tight-knit community,” owner Jerome Cirlincione said.
