An electronics manufacturer has taken 30,000 square feet at a nearly complete warehouse in Piscataway, in the latest addition to an industrial park near Interstate 287.
According to Levin Management Corp., the asset manager for Rutgers Industrial Center, RCF USA is expanding and relocating to 101 Circle Drive North from Edison. The manufacturer of professional audio equipment is leasing the full building, which broke ground last summer.
“Not only is our existing Edison space too small and outdated, but we are sharing the building with other tenants,” said Justin Brock, RCF USA’s vice president of strategic sales and operations. “The move to 101 Circle Drive North gives us our own building with plenty of room to expand and grow over time, along with superior highway access.
“We have been looking for new warehouse space for a long time and couldn’t find the right fit. 101 Circle Drive North checked every box.”
The new building will become part of the six-building, 570,000-square-foot industrial and warehouse complex just north of I-287, according to a news release. LMC, which served as construction manager for the 101 Circle Drive North development, said the facility will have 35-foot minimum clear ceiling heights, six dock doors, 38 parking stalls and a modern sprinkler system.
Cushman & Wakefield’s Chuck Fern and Jason Barton represented the landlord and tenant, respectively, the news release said. RCF, whose products are manufactured in Italy, maintains a second warehouse location in Piscataway.
“We are pleased to see how positively the market responded to this project,” said LMC’s Paul Tavaglione, executive vice president and chief operating officer. “101 Circle Drive North presented RCF USA with a truly unique opportunity to relocate to brand-new, move-in ready warehouse space in what has become one of the Garden State’s most sought-after markets for small and midsize distribution requirements.”
