Onyx Equities has welcomed JAG Physical Therapy to Newark’s Gateway Center, marking the latest addition to the revamped retail lineup at the four-building office complex.
Both operators joined city business leaders on Tuesday to unveil the 3,108-square-foot clinic, which is JAG’s second Newark location. It’s now open alongside a host of other services and dining options at The Junction at Gateway Center, including fresh&co, Uncle Willie’s Wings, 375° Chicken ‘n Fries, Jersey Mike’s, Dunkin’, Mökbar and One Step Ahead Learning and Performing Arts Center, with Kamasu by Kissaki coming soon.
The 100,000-square-foot retail and hospitality corridor is the focal point of Onyx’s recent overhaul of the landmark 2.3 million-square-foot complex across from Newark Penn Station and of its busy pedestrian concourse. Onyx, which leads an investment group that acquired three of the four Gateway buildings in late 2018, has sought to create a new hub for the thousands of daily commuters in the complex and for the broader population in and around downtown Newark.
