Value Cos. Inc. has completed the first phase of energy efficiency upgrades at five North Jersey apartment properties, providing major benefits to residents of nearly 1,000 units.
The Clifton-based firm said the project, completed in partnership with Donnelly Energy, focused on complexes in Randolph, Paterson, Passaic Park and Nutley and will yield more than $20,000 in annual energy savings, plus significant maintenance and repair savings for those homes. Upgrades in phase one included the replacement of boilers across the five properties, Value Cos. said, noting that it expects to pay little out-of-pocket costs thanks to available financing options through various New Jersey utilities’ Direct Install programs and the extensive savings the new equipment will bring to the sites.

With Donnelly Energy’s help, we will soon begin phase two of energy upgrades at Gateways at Randolph and other communities within our portfolio.”
According to a news release, the next round of updates will include replacing boilers at multifamily properties in Saddle Brook, North Arlington and Randolph. Once phase two is complete, more than 2,000 units in the Value portfolio will see increased energy efficiency.
