Indoor pickleball has arrived at a busy retail property in North Brunswick, bringing a distinctive new use to the complex as part of its evolving tenant mix.
According to Levin Management Corp., the leasing and managing agent for Brunswick Shopping Center, Ace Pickleball Club occupies 26,500 of the property’s 288,000 square feet. Members have access to what it describes as pickleball on demand through its signature open play format, eliminating the need to coordinate with other players or reserve court time in advance, while the facility at 512 Milltown Road will host tournaments, social events and corporate outings.
LMC added that Ace Pickleball’s flexible, all-inclusive membership options are tailored to usage, while the business offers introductory clinics to those new to the game.
“Ace Pickleball Club is an exciting addition to Brunswick Shopping Center and a great example of the type of experiential tenant that resonates with today’s consumers,” said Fred Younkin, a leasing representative with Levin. “This concept brings together fitness, wellness and community connection in a way that not only activates the space but also strengthens the center’s role as a destination for both daily needs and lifestyle-driven experiences.”
Located just off Route 1, the center serves a dense and well-established Middlesex County trade area with Lidl as its anchor and a strong mix of national and regional tenants, LMC said. They include LA Fitness, Dollar Tree, Tropical Smoothie Cafe, Sally Beauty Supply, McDonald’s and Sherwin-Williams, part of a roster that continues to evolve with a blend of retail, service and experiential uses that enhance traffic, dwell time and the overall customer experience.
Ace Pickleball Club, for its part, has 11 locations open or operating nationwide and dozens of others in its pipeline, supporting one of the nation’s fastest-growing sports.
“We want Ace Pickleball Club to be a place where people can get active, learn something new and feel part of a community from day one,” said Kirk Zambrana, general manager of Ace Pickleball Club. “From flexible membership options and beginner clinics to social events, team-building opportunities and private parties, we are creating an environment that makes it easy for people to engage with the sport in a fun, welcoming and healthy way.”
