A specialty candy shop is coming to Somerville after leasing space in the heart of the downtown, in a newly announced transaction by Deluccia Commercial Group.
According to a news release, The Candy House LLC committed to a five-year term for a storefront at 28-32 West Main St. It’s now poised to benefit from the district’s strong foot traffic, community events and convenient access to major regional highways, the brokerage team said, noting that the deal adds to a growing mix of retail, dining and residential uses downtown.
Deluccia Commercial Group’s Tim Deluccia and Kayla Yalango represented the landlord, 32 W Main St LLC, and the tenant in the deal.
“This lease reflects the continued strength of downtown Somerville as a destination retail market,” Deluccia said. “The combination of historic charm, strong community identity and steady consumer traffic continues to attract quality tenants looking for long-term success in a walkable downtown environment.”
