(Editor’s note: Paul V. Profeta, the founding donor of The Profeta Real Estate Technology, Design and Innovation Center, is the publisher of Real Estate NJ)
Many of the state’s leading developers and service providers descended on New Jersey Institute of Technology’s Newark campus last week, joining administrators, faculty and students for the launch of the Profeta Real Estate Technology, Design and Innovation Center.
With classes slated to begin in the spring 2027 semester, the pioneering program will combine finance, engineering, architecture and environmental skills in one graduate degree to provide training in all aspects of commercial real estate development and management. University officials highlighted those offerings and more on June 23 during an event at the Naimoli Family Athletic Center, where founding donor Paul V. Profeta also introduced the high-profile board that will shape the center in the months and years ahead.

SLIDESHOW: Profeta Real Estate Center at NJIT launch event
Profeta, the publisher of Real Estate NJ and owner of Paul V. Profeta & Associates LLC in Roseland, seeded the Profeta Real Estate Center in 2021 when he made the single-largest donation in NJIT’s history, a gift that also established a new center for minority entrepreneurs. Importantly, the program will leverage courses that are already offered at the university, many of them through its highly regarded architecture, engineering and computing schools.
