A youth gymnastics facility in Leonia is moving after securing a new location at a neighboring building in the borough, according to a leasing team with NAI James E. Hanson.
In a news release, the brokers said U.S. Gymnastics Development Center will occupy 19,485 square feet at 600 Willow Tree Road, a 124,260-square-foot property. That will become the new home of a business that has served the local community since 1988, offering gymnastics and cheerleading training and classes for children of all ages and adults.
NAI Hanson Associate Vice President Jessica Curry and Senior Vice President Andrew Somple represented the tenant, following a year-long search that began with the sale of U.S. Gym Leonia’s former building at 100 Leyland Drive, the news release said. The new building will meet its unique needs, with features such as high ceilings and a flexible layout, as well as a drive-in door, a tailgate, ample on-site parking and a 1,500-square-foot air-conditioned mezzanine office space.
The property is also minutes from Route 4 and Interstate 80.
“This was a unique search from the start,” Curry said. “U.S. Gym Leonia needed a space that could accommodate a very specific use, and finding the right fit took patience and a clear understanding of their intricate needs. 600 Willow Tree Road checked every box from the ceiling height to the layout, and the proximity to their previous location makes the transition seamless for the families and athletes they serve.”
