A new Planet Fitness is coming to a Lincoln Park shopping center, where it will occupy a 15,000-square-foot addition that’s being constructed by Vita & Vita Realty Corp.
The franchisee, the Flynn Group, will lease the space at Comly Road and George Cobb Lane alongside 16 existing tenants at what’s known as Lincoln Park Plaza, according to a news release. Completion is slated for early 2027, VVRC President Anthony Vita said, following a recent groundbreaking for a project that will expand the 60,000-square-foot property just north of Route 202 and across from NJ Transit rail service.
Vita’s leasing team worked with JLL to complete the transaction, the news release said. The ownership entity, Lincoln Park Plaza Associates LLC, is working alongside a project team that includes Mianecki Consulting as engineer, Cutillo & Associates as architect and Fede Construction as general contractor.
Vita noted that the new building will be roughly 111 feet by 127 feet with a 20-foot clear height to the deck. For the Flynn Group, the Lincoln Park Plaza location will expand a portfolio that includes more than 140 gyms in multiple states.
Its new co-tenants in Lincoln Park will include a 30,000-square-foot Ace Hardware & Home Center, which anchors the property. The site is also home to several service retail and dining tenants, with parking for more than 300 cars.
VVRC’s past ground-up projects in the borough have included Lincoln Square and The Corner Shoppes, which were completed in 2020 and 2024, respectively. The firm operates and manages shopping centers, office buildings and properties in New Jersey and six other states.
