Somerset Development is touting the lease-up of more than 100,000 square feet of prebuilt, flexible office space at its flagship Bell Works campus in Holmdel.
According to the real estate firm, the so-called Ready-To-Wear suites have attracted more than a dozen tenants across a range of industries, including financial services, technology, fashion and hospitality. It’s now looking to bring additional supply online at the 2 million-square-foot campus, as it continues to focus on users seeking turnkey space with short-term leasing options.
“Today’s milestone serves as a testament to both the ongoing magnetism of the metroburb, and the unbelievable demand from companies seeking beautiful, functional and flexible office space,” said Ralph Zucker, president of Somerset Development. “With the momentum we’re continuing to experience, it became very clear we needed to expand Bell Works New Jersey’s Ready-To-Wear footprint, and we look forward to welcoming even more businesses to our vibrant office community at Bell Works.”
The firm noted that it is preparing to market another 6,884 square feet of Ready-To-Wear office space, which will comprise five new suites available for lease beyond the existing 100,333 square feet. It also recently announced plans for a 72,000-square-foot flexible workplace option known as Campus, which will open later this year and cater to medium-sized businesses and enterprises seeking flexibly termed leasing solutions.
Bell Works, which occupies the iconic former Bell Labs research campus, is also home to the newly expanded coLab, a membership-based co-working facility, as well as a host of large-scale office users and a host of retail and services providers. Tenants at the site’s Ready-to-Wear space include a financial technology firm known as Banyan, BroadFront Capital Management and Floafers, a foam footwear brand that launched in 2019.
Bell Works Creative Director Paola Zamudio and her team at NPZ Style & Décor curated the interior design for both the original and forthcoming workspaces.
“In the past 15 months we’ve seen an unrelenting demand from businesses across industry sectors who simply want to be back in an office,” said Tara Keating, vice president of The Garibaldi Group, Bell Works’ exclusive office leasing team. “The Ready-To-Wear suites at Bell Works New Jersey make the potentially arduous process of finding a new office very, very easy. By offering both incredibly flexible leasing terms and fully furnished, fully wired office suites, companies that are ready to get down to business need only walk through the door.”
