A new 38-unit apartment building in Jersey City’s Bergen-Lafayette section is now more than 50 percent leased after hitting the market earlier this year.
Located at 374 Communipaw Ave., The Bedford is a collection of one- and two-bedroom homes surrounded by brownstones, parks and local businesses in one of the city’s burgeoning neighborhoods. Its developer, an affiliate of Hoboken-based Schmitt Capital, has worked alongside The Marketing Directors to draw renters to the property since the launch of leasing this past summer, with net-effective monthly rents starting at $2,245 with one month free on a 16-month lease.
Floorplans at the five-story building include junior one bedroom, one bedroom, one bedroom plus den and two bedroom.
“The community’s response to The Bedford has exceeded our expectations,” said Jackie Urgo, president of The Marketing Directors. “Our studios, junior one-bedroom and one-bedroom plus den residences are extremely popular. Those interested are encouraged to act quickly and take advantage of our current incentive of one-month free.”
Aside from its luxury apartments, The Bedford has amenities such as a rooftop terrace, indoor garage parking, a secure package system and on-site bike storage, Urgo said, while renters have access to a fitness center and yoga room at its sister building.
Residents, meantime, are a half-mile from the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail and Interstate 78, giving them access to both mass transit and the region’s vast highway network.
