PROJECT SPOTLIGHT
The following are some recent noteworthy projects that Day Pitney has handled for clients:
- Represented a corporate client in the repurposing of their corporate headquarters and negotiating the lease for the client’s new space in New Jersey. The repurposing of the old headquarters involved negotiating the rezoning as part of the town’s affordable housing plan and negotiating the eventual sale of a portion of the property; drew on a variety of practices including land use, affordable housing, leasing, dispositions and environmental.
- Represented several clients in the rezoning, site plan approval and PILOT negotiations for eight affordable housing developments that were awarded Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) in the 2021 HMFA LIHTC cycle
- Represented various clients over the past year in obtaining rezoning or development approvals for approximately 2.6 million square feet of warehouse/industrial space
- Represented a real estate development group in connection with the acquisition and repurposing of a portion of a golf course and country club, including: (i) negotiation of acquisition purchase and sale agreement, (ii) financing amendments, (iii) site plan approvals for reconfiguration of golf course and tennis facilities and development of an inclusionary residential development, and (iv) sale of the inclusionary residential development
