A waxing franchise has leased 1,590 square feet at a soon-to-be-completed retail complex in Clark, developer Denholtz Associates said Wednesday.
The tenant, Waxing the City, is the latest to join Denholtz’s mixed-use Clark Commercial Center property off Exit 135 of the Garden State Parkway. The business plans to open by the end of this summer, offering a full line of facial and body waxing products.
William Lenaz of RJ Brunelli & Co. Inc. represented Denholtz, while Rob Runyon of Franchise Real Estate represented Waxing the City in the transaction.
Denholtz Associates and its joint venture partner, MB1 Capital Partners, acquired the Clark Commercial Center in October of 2015. Shortly thereafter, construction began on a 14,000-square-foot retail space set to open in the second quarter of this year.
The overall property spans 10 commercial buildings totaling 283,201 square feet and extends an entire block along Terminal Avenue, according to a news release. The complex is a short distance from the New Jersey Turnpike via the Parkway.
“Since adding the property to our portfolio in 2015, we’ve implemented our strategy to create a highly desirable property, attracting a variety of established tenants to the flex, office and soon-to-be-opened retail space that would be assets to the surrounding community,” said Kristine Hurlbut, senior vice president of leasing at Denholtz Associates. “The addition of Waxing the City to our brand-new retail space at the Clark Commercial Center adds to a number of exciting tenants set to occupy space at the site and speaks to our ability to successfully execute our strategy for the property by attracting another successful brand that will allow us to provide superior, risk-adjusted returns to our investors.”
