Denholtz Properties has opened the doors to a bar, restaurant and entertainment venue at The Commissary at Baseline, its food and beverage destination at the iconic Fort Monmouth site.
Located in the property’s Oceanport section, the space known as Baseline Social spans 17,100 square feet and has a 640-square-foot LED viewing wall with a 38-seat platform lounge for live music or private events, according to the developer. Sports fans can also enjoy a 3,700-square-foot entertainment section with five virtual golf bays with full-swing technology.
It’s the latest addition to The Commissary at Baseline, a multipurpose destination at 675 Oceanport Way that’s geared toward innovative food and beverage uses, where Denholtz has repurposed a roughly 53,000-square-foot building at the former U.S. Army base. Baseline Social joins fellow tenants Birdsmouth Beer, a craft brewery and tasting room, and MGT Foods, a third-generation family business behind popular food brands such as Mr. Green Tea Ice Cream, Mr. Mochi, The Bear & The Rat Cool Treats for Dogs and Eat Mud Non-Dairy Ice Cream.
“We know how important Fort Monmouth was to its surrounding communities and we are deeply honored to play a role in bringing it back to life,” said Steven Denholtz, CEO of Denholtz Properties, which is based in Red Bank. “This project has been an exciting example of the transformative power of real estate investment in creating spaces that drive economic activity while serving as hubs for their local communities.”
In a news release, Denholtz added that Baseline Social has a mezzanine that’s able to host private parties beyond its interior space. A large outdoor bar and lounge section has 11 bar seats, a variety of seating options with infrared heaters and a firepit lounge with three-season access.
