A joint venture has unveiled a collection of 70 upscale condominiums in North Bergen, touting a location along the Hudson River and easy access to a host of neighborhood amenities.
Located at 8701 Churchill Road, the project known as Solaia offers a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom homes starting at just under $700,000, along with 10,000 square feet of amenity space. Skyline Development Group is now ramping up its marketing of the 14-story building, with initial occupancy slated for this summer.
“Inside, homes provide comfort, harmony and ease of living,” said Louis Mont, Skyline’s founder and CEO. “Right outside their doors, residents will find a holistic approach to lifestyle with ultra-health and wellness amenities that rival those found only at a five-star resort. This tantalizing way of life has already struck a chord with sophisticated buyers, many who have been clamoring to tour our model home. Now that it’s officially debuted, we are ready to start delivering on our promise.”
The developer has partnered with Vasco Ventures and Mosaic Real Estate in the project, which sits just south of Edgewater and north of the acclaimed Port Imperial section of West New York and Weehawken. It recently opened a model unit designed by Safavieh and an on-site sales center, having tapped Compass Development Marketing Group to market the new condos.
Designed by Architectura and curated by Doni Douglas, Solaia features upscale homes ranging from 864 to more than 1,900 square feet, plus private balconies for most units, according to a news release. The property’s common spaces include a three-story wellness center with high-end fitness equipment, boxing and a series of spa-style amenities.

Solaia also features a roof deck with an outdoor kitchen, a dining area, fire pits and couches, along with a co-working space with a private conference room and an owner’s lounge featuring a fireplace, billiards, a catering kitchen and a dining area.
Compass’ Kristin Ehrgott is leading the marketing team, as the brokerage firm looks to expand its footprint in the state.
“Compass is one of the largest independent real estate brokerage firms in the country and has recently launched in New Jersey with considerable market share,” Ehrgott said. “Solaia will be our premier newly constructed development.”
Skyline Development also noted that Solaia, which sits above street level along the Palisade Cliffs, is minutes from the area’s dining and retail offerings. The site also provides easy access to the George Washington Bridge and Lincoln Tunnel and mass transit options such as the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail and NY Waterway ferry service.
“Solaia was conceptualized with an emphasis on mind, body and spirit for wellness inside and out,” said Jaclyn Issac, founder of interior design firm Doni Douglas. “Everything from the design of the fully equipped spa to the materials utilized in creating this residential oasis were carefully chosen to accentuate tranquility, self-care and balanced healthy living.”
